I am so thrilled to be back in Afton for a second chance to compete in The Vocalist! Since I last saw you, I have been performing in my community in various shows and working with local voice coaches to strengthen my singing abilities. I am excited for the audience to get to know me better and to sing some great songs! I’d like to thank my family and friends for all of their love and support!
Paul is 21 years old and has five younger siblings: three brothers and two sisters. He loves to hunt and fish and spend time in the mountains when he can. He is currently a student at BYU-Idaho where he studies studying biology. From a young age, he has always had an interest in performing music. He first learned to sing and play guitar from his dad, and it has become his favorite thing to do.
I was raised in Afton and am proud to call Star Valley home! Locals might remember my many performances over the years staring in the high school productions of “My Fair Lady” and “Bye Bye Birdie”, along with many rock church summer productions, numerous performances at the local fair, and dozens of church services.
Nowadays I’m very busy as the mother of two cute little boys and my performing days seem well in the past. Couple that information with the fact that I’ve auditioned for this competition almost every year since it started, and you can pretty easily label me as the underdog worth rooting for!
I’m so so excited I got picked this year, and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve got! A special thanks to my Dad, Stu, who has always supported and encouraged me, and instilled a belief in me that I could win.

ll growing up Leo sang and danced his way around Utah, performing with various groups at local fairs, competitions, Lagoon amusement park and then on to Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. From there he went on to tour overseas, traveling through Asia and the Middle East; playing his way through five star hotels and clubs he got a taste of the rock star lifestyle and knew it was made for him. After a year on tour Leo headed back to Utah and decided it was time to create his own stamp on music so he picked up the guitar and started writing his own songs. You can find Leo covering top hits from all different artists on his Instagram @leocodymusic and you can find his music on all streaming platforms.
